Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s power is « crumbling » after a failed mutiny in Moscow in late June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
“Let’s see Putin’s reaction. He is weak,” Zelsnkyy told CNN in an interview taped over the weekend and previewed on Monday morning. « All that vertical power he had is crumbling. »
Zelenskyy referred to the Kremlin’s response to the rebellion led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a former restaurant magnate and powerful warlord who has attempted to oust Russia’s top military officers. He had publicly criticized Moscow’s military leadership during the war, blaming officials for the mounting number of casualties of his Wagner Group paramilitary fighters.
