Attorney General Merrick Garland is attempting to distance himself from Hunter Biden’s legal troubles.

When asked about allegations of double standards within the Justice Department — critics said investigated political opponents are considered for jail time while the president’s son Joe Biden is not — Garland on Wednesday deferred questions to U.S. attorney who oversaw the Delaware investigation.

« As I have said since my appointment as Attorney General, I would leave this matter in the hands of the United States Attorney, who was nominated by the previous president and assigned to this matter by the previous administration, » Garland said speaking at a press conference in Sweden.
